Now that we know who our victim was, the police have made a long-list of everyone he had been in contact with over the last month, which can be found here. It’s pretty long and you can’t possibly investigate everyone on it – can you use what you’ve already learned about your suspect to narrow the list down?

Hints:

• Think carefully and discuss all the things you know about the killer
• As a group, work out how to apply a filter to Row 1 of the suspect database
• Then use these filters to get rid of the suspects you know could not have committed the murder for one reason or another (see screenshot to the right)

Each group must;

• use the database to narrow down your list of suspects to four possible murderers
• email sgt.knight@csibroadclyst.co.uk with the your group number and ‘Suspects’ in the subject line to tell him what you now know – he will get his team to find out everything they can about these suspects and send it to your group

Each investigator must;

• update the Unknown Suspect Log in your case file
