The body

Case Officer Evidence # Task Summary
1242 Sgt. Knight 0 Understand more about the victim

The body appears to be that of a Caucasian (white northern European) male, aged 30-40, of average height and slim build. Hair is short and mid-brown, eye colour is green.

The body's fingernails are clean and well looked after; it is probable that this man did not have a manual job.

The labels in his clothing indicates that it was purchased in the UK within the last 18 months and is of a high quality.

The cause of death is assumed to be the 6-inch kitchen knife in the body's chest, but the coroner will have to confirm this.

A door to door canvas of local workers and residents did not find anybody who knew the victim and it is therefore assumed that he was not a resident of the village.

The proximity of the railway line presents some interesting possibilities about how the body arrived at the crime scene but investigators should also note that the site is close to a car park and access road.

Each investigator must take note of any piece of information which might be important in identifying the victim and discuss this with their group.
